Hornblower Niagara Cruises' Niagara Thunder and Niagara Wonder
The new operator of Canada’s iconic Voyage To The Falls boat tour announces the winners of its international contest to name its 2 new catamaran boats

After combing through thousands of submissions from all over the world, Hornblower Niagara Cruises has selected the names for its two newly built state-of-the-art catamaran boats that will tour visitors into the heart of Niagara Falls. The winning names were selected in December, 2013 following an international contest to the name the new boats. Names were then submitted to Transport Canada to ensure they were not already registered and for final registration approval.
The first winning name, Niagara Wonder was one of many names submitted by Ms. Lina Muraca’s Kindergarten Class at Sacred Hearts Catholic Elementary School in Chippawa, Ontario, Canada. The second winning name Niagara Thunder was submitted by Mr. Dharmesh Rami of Hyderabad, India. The winning names were among thousands submitted from allover the world.

Ultimately we feltthat Niagara Wonder and Niagara Thunder names best reflect the incredible majesty and power of Niagara Falls.
In addition to seeing the boats adorned with the winner’s name submission, each of the winners have won the opportunity to experience Hornblower’s new Voyage to the Falls boat tour. Sacred Heart School was won a school group trip aboard Niagara Wonder for the entire school including all students and staff that will include a very special behind the scenes VIP experience. Mr. Rami has won an all-expense paid trip for two toNiagara Falls, Canada including return airfare from India, 5 nights deluxe Fallsview hotel accommodations, all meals and attraction admissions for two and a very special trip aboard the Niagara Thunder.
