Hosted by a number of hosts including Sangita Patel, Farah Nasser, Jake Dheer, Raoul Juneja, Dilshad Burman and Amin Dhillon, the anniversary event was one of ANOKHI MEDIA’s most glamorous to date.  Guests entered the Convention Floor of the Fairmont Royal York to a Johnnie Walker Gold bar, serving cocktails and scotch to guests as they mingled and posed in the Destiny Fairytale photo booth (sponsored by the authors of “Destiny: A tale of Sonali and Amir”).  On the left, over 40 media outlets gathered for red carpet interviews with the talent who had flown in from all over the world.

Following the cocktail, guests entered the Concert Hall of the Fairmont for a jewel themed event, dinner and show that showcased the talent being honored through out the evening.  Highlights included a “roast” from Rogers Jake Dheer as well as performances by Ali Hassan, Zameer Rizvi and the legendary Rishi Rish alongside his newest artist, Amrit Dasu and brought to you by Johnnie Walker.  Considered a music legend, Rish has produced alongside the world’s biggest names in music including Madonna, Lady Gaga and Jay Sean.  Bollywood celebrity designer Archanna Kochhar also showcased her newest line in a 30-minute fashion show brought to you by L'Oréal Paris.

A key highlight of the evening included the launch of ANOKHI MEDIA’s first hard cover glossy coffee table book entitled THE ANOKHI LIST 2015.  This much anticipated book celebrates the regional, national and international success stories of some of today's most prolific South Asian personalities.  Dinner guests each walked away with a copy of the book presented in a beautiful jeweled bag.

“What made this year even more exciting was that the bulk of the talent we featured in the book, attended the gala,” adds Girn.  “Watching honorees open the book to their page was an exciting moment.  It reminded me why a book celebrating South Asian success is so necessary.”
