We write to you as two U.S. citizens, one of whom moved to Canada when George W. Bush became U.S. president. Every wise observer in Texas had warned this country about their Governor Bush, but the message hadn't gotten through.

BMO IFFSA | PIFF | Toronto 2015, The Biggest South Asian Film Festival in North America had its official kick off on April 23rd at the Mississauga Living Arts Centre with a star studded press conference, reception and premiere of India’s 2014 Oscar screening of the Hindi feature film, Liar’s Dice starring internationally acclaimed actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

A Reality Dance Competition in Toronto to Find the Next Dancing Superstars
Presented by Glitterati Entertainment and Sanskriti Arts

Medha Wadhwa, Sanskriti Arts Junior Ensemble, Harvi Karathe and Jenine Paulose, Mihrin Popatia and the Ambitious Movement won the Toronto title of WARRAICH GRILL NAACH MERI JAAN, the first ever reality television dance contest held in Toronto.   The finals had over 28 contestants participating in four different categories at the Randolph Academy for Performing Arts in downtown Toronto on April 25 and judged by Javed Jaffrey, Rujuta Vaidya and Devendra Pal Singh.

KLox a.k.a Gurpreet Chana, also known as the ‘Tabla Guy’ creates magic by playing the tabla paired with electronic music. He is an acclaimed solo performer and a synergist with fusion music.

Raised in Hamilton, Gurpreet, as a child, loved the sound of music when he played with his palms and fingers on tables, pots and pans in his home. His grandfather noticed his deep interest in music, and at age 3, Gurpreet was pleasantly surprised to receive his first ‘tabla’ customized to his height. Since then there was no looking back. Gurpreet with his dedication and increasing success has made Ustadji Professor Parshotam Singh a proud teacher.  Gurpreet started playing at a ‘Gurudwara’ (a place of worship for Sikhs) and continues to do so.
